What is parallel structure?

-using the same pattern of words to show that two or more words or ideas are of equal importance and to help the reader understand what is being written

Jane loves running, swimming, and hiking.

Incorrect usage:

Jane love running, swimming, and to hike.

What is ethos?

-is a form of argument that is made by someone with credibility and authority.

Jane saw a Miley Cyrus, a famous singer/actor, commercial about adopting a puppy. Jane then asked her mom if they could adopt one. This is ethos because Miley Cyrus uses her fame to influence people to do things.
