Last Carbon

In a small town just outside of Oregon in 1932 where the grass doesn't  grow and the birds do not chirp. There is fog in the air. It's partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain. The town name was suburbia.

In this town there was a carbon named Connor. Connor was a carbon atom. Atoms are the building blocks of all elements.

One day Connor was walking down the street when he was stopped by a gang of weeds.

He is then taken to a camp where he is forced to do photosynthesis. Plants use photosynthesis to make glucose. This photosynthesis was only one type of many photosynthesis'.

Connor was put on a spherical vehicle with other atoms like carbon and two oxygens. The name of the vehicle was carbon dioxide or CO2. The vehicle took him and the others into the plant to start photosynthesis.

He was taken to the thylakoids. The thylakoids are located in an organelle called chloroplast which is a part of the cell. Cells are the smallest living thing in all organisms which are basically anything that is alive. The thylakoids is where the light dependent reaction takes place.

From the outside the thylakoids look like green stacks of pancakes, this is because the thylakoids hold a pigment called chlorophyll. A pigment controls what colors of light come into the cells and chlorophyll takes in everything except green which it reflects.

Inside there is a big ray of sunlight named Ivan who is separating all the water and carbon dioxide molecules. Ivan was very strong because he was made completely out of solar energy. Ivan uses his strength to conduct a chemical reaction so he can rearrange the atoms and molecules to create a new molecule. A molecule is different atoms fused together.

Connor is then taken to the stroma it is also located in the chloroplast. This is where the light independent reaction occurs and the separated molecules are rearranged and put back together.

Connor was stuck together with other carbons like Charles, Cameron, Christian, Cole, and Cody. He was also stuck together with hydrogens like  Herb, Hank, Harold, Henry, Hunter, Hector, Harry, Hugo, Halsey, Hurshel, Hansel, and Hadden. He was also stuck together with oxygens like Oscar, Oliver, Omar, Odis, Ozzy, and Owen.
