There is this turtle named Bob that lives on one of the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos is where he gets his name, the Galapagos Tortoise.

Although he lives on one Galapagos Island, some of his friends live on the other seven Galapagos Islands. He has 14 friends.

Bob and his friends are herbivores that eat grass, plants and fruit.

Everything was great until one day, people showed up to the each of the islands, where things started to go bad for Bob and his friends.
Bob's friends started losing many of their family members due to people taking them for meat and oil.
They were also taking the Galapagos Tortoise away to make room for agriculture. New animals like rats hurt the growth of the tortoises.

The people also wanted to bring pigs and goats into the island and they needed grass so they had another reason to take away the galapagos tortoises.

Eventually, Bob lost 5 of his friends due to all of the events including the 5 friends family members as well.
