Your skin is made of two parts. The epidermis and the dermis.
The epidermis is the top part, the part you see.
The dermis is the bottom part, The part that you cannot see.




The epidermis provides protection from germs and the outside world.






The dermis holds blood vessels, hair, and the glands that produce sweat.







When you get hurt your body has a special reaction that allows your skin to heal.
This reaction is called the regenerative Process.





There are four stages of the regenerative process: 1.Homeostasis 2.Inflammation 3.The Proliferation Stage and 4.Remodeling

1.Homeostasis
Homeostasis is your body's response to blood loss.

Your blood vessels tighten so that the blood forms clots on the wound. Clotting means the blood cells group together.
