In fact his real name was Siddhartha.

also in India.

Adulthood
Siddhartha was married, to a woman named Queen
Yashodara, but had only one child.

Occupation
He was a Kshatriya, and
never really realized the
world around him. He
meditated under the tree
of wisdom, for seven
weeks, which led him to
the answers. After this he
became the Buddha.

The Buddha's Ear lobes
The earlobes are elongated, partly to
indicate the Buddha is all-hearing and
also as a reminder of the heavy
earrings that weighed them down
before Siddhartha announced he was
going to seek enlightenment.

The Buddha's Head
If you are wondering, why some
Buddha's have giant bumps on their
heads, I will give you the answer. The
bump on his head, is to symbolize
wisdom, if he has a jewel on his head,
it is to represent brilliance.

Why is the Buddha fat?
Finally, I have found the answer to my question,
Why is the Buddha fat? The best answer I found,
was that fat men, are benevolent, which means to
be well meaning, and kind. Another example of
this, is Saint Nicholas, or as we commonly know
him, Santa Clauss.

Conclusion
We are definetly excited we got to share this exciting
information wih you. We hope you learned something
more about the Buddha than before.
