Alexander Graham Bell was born March 3rd, 1847, in Edinburgh Scotland, he was a scottish man who was a teacher, scientist, and inventor.

Alexander Graham Bell had worked at a school for deaf students. He worked there mainly because his mother was deaf and he wanted to help children that were deaf.

While he was working he got the idea of a new invention called the harmonic telegraph. The harmonic telegraph was a machine for sending messages through wires.
Alexander knew that the harmonic telegraph was not his best invention. Alexander spent most of his time perfecting his harmonic telegraph invention.
Alexander decided that he wanted to make something for communicating with people so he decided to create a new and better invention called the telephone. So after a lot of effort and hard work Alexander finally got his invention right.
Alexander started showing his new invention to many different people. Alexander showed his invention of the telephone to the emperor of Brazil.

The telephone was made out of wood, metal discs, horseshoe and wire all these pieces had a important job to make the telephone work.
