Do you know who Henry ford is? He is one of the most important inventors of all time!
He created a way to manufacture cars in a very short amount of time with less workers and more efficiency.

You see Mr. Henry Ford invented the assembly line in 1913 at Ford motor company in Michigan. The assembly line was a long metal rectangle with a conveyor belt in the middle stretching across a room and it worked like this.

- 6-8 employees would line up by the assembly line
- A conveyor belt would cary pieces of the Model-T to them
- Each employee would assemble there specific part with other parts
- And they would combine all the parts to create a car!

This allowed the t-model to be built in 2: ½ hours. When normally the ordinary manufacturer would build a car in 12 hours!

Mr ford's main cause for creating the assembly line was so that he could create his auto-mobiles in a shorter amount of time and with more efficiency so he could keep ford's motor surviving and thriving. and support himself after being booted from the Detroit automobile company.

Another cause for creating the assembly was so that he could pay his workers more so that he could maintain their loyalty. due to his efforts he was able to increase his workers wages from $2.34 to $5 which made them loyal employees and increased their work ethic. he was able to do this because it took less workers to make a model-t on the assembly line meaning he was able to support his employees that way and still make a profit.

Ford’s actions created a ripple. As more and more people were able to afford cars the government had to build bigger and better roads.
And because more people were driving cars more gas stations had to be implemented creating a greater need for crude oil.

This made Mr. Ford a lot of money, 199 billion to be exact. The way he did this was by selling his cars at a lower price which was possible because the assembly line required less workers and could produce Cars in a very short amount of time resulting in many more people buying his cars. Ford was the sixth wealthiest person to have existed with his overall net worth being $188-199 billion.
