Dedicated to my future students.

This is a book about the life and times of George Washington, the first President of The United States of America.

When I was born on February 22, 1732, my parents never would have believed that I would have gone on to become the first leader of the free nation.
England unfairly ruled the colonies for many years, so my friends and I decided to start a revolution. We would go on to gain freedom for ourselves and our people. We didn't have computers back then, so we had to write letters to each other in order to document, or keep track of, everything.

After we started the revolution, I was appointed as the commander in chief of the continental army. I led my people to victory against England, the country who had the largest army in the world at the time.
We fought battles for years and years, and when things were hard I often missed my simple life as a farmer. I longed to go home, but I valued my freedom too much to give up. We the people, deserved a life of liberty and happiness free of British rule.
After the revolution, I went on to become the first president of The United States of America. It is something I am very proud of and I did all that I could to be the fair and just leader that the brave people of The United States deserved.
