CRACK!! I just love hearing the sound of the ball hitting the bat. My favorite sport is baseball, and It's known as America's favorite pastime. I going to tell you all about it.

A: An all-star is when the player is really good.  These players are the best in their division.

B: A bat is for hitting the ball.

C: Cleats help you grip the ground as you run the bases.

D:The dirt helps you slide, so you can get to the base before you get out.

E: You can be ejected from the game if you are not being a good sport or doing something unsafe.

Being ejected means you get thrown off the field and you can’t play for the rest of the game.

F: The field is the shape of a diamond.  There are two parts: infield and outfield.

G: The baseball glove is used to help you catch the ball without hurting your hand. It’s made of out leather.

H: An out-of-the-park Home-run is when you hit the ball so hard the ball will go out of the stadium.  An in-the-park home-run is when you hit the ball and you can get to all of the bases without getting out.

I: When you are playing a baseball game, an inning is over once both teams get three outs.

J: A junkball is any off speed pitch which can include the knuckle-ball.

K: A knuckleball floats, has no spin and usually drops at the end .

L: When you lose it is sad, but it just means the other team scored more runs than you.

M: MVP stands for "most valuable player."  They make the best plays during the game.

N: National League is the highest spot you can get in baseball.

O: An Outfielder is a player in one of the three defensive positions in grassy outfield.
