The tables are set up so that students will be able to interact with each other and complete group work.
The literacy center includes book shelves, beanbag chairs, and sofas so students are comfortable when they read.

On the opposite side of the room will be the dramatic play center. There will be clothing stands for the costumes and storage that contains all of the props necessary for the center.
Across from that area will be the science center. The storage contains all of the science equipment and there is a sink to clean up any messes.
There is also a circle rug that will serve as the meeting area during instruction time. Information will be given from the easel or projector.

Social - Tables and carpet area is set up to give students opportunities to interact with other students and share ideas.
Cognitive - Learning materials, toys, or objects provided for children to play with, learn from, and explore. All of these materials will be meaningfully selected to support children's development and learning. Science and literacy center will give children a chance to explore concepts and challenge what they already know.
Physical - Room to move around and explore, centers with hands on experience.



Dramatic play/Theatre Center:
Materials - Dress-Up Clothes - Children can dress up and learn about a variety of careers, costumes, and cultural customs.
Housekeeping Play - Variety of cleaning and housekeeping items, such as a vacuum, broom, mop, and ironing board, in your dramatic play center.
Kitchenware and Cooking Play - Provide cooking utensils, table place settings, and a variety of other kitchenware items
Shopping Play - Handbags, wallets, shopping carts, a play cash register, play money, and a variety of supermarket items
Developmentally appropriate activity - Reenact everyday activities or situations that children observe or engage in imaginative activities based on knowledge children gain from books and movies.

TEKS - (2) Creative expression: Performance. The student interprets characters using the voice and body expressively and creates dramatizations. The student is expected to:
(A) Demonstrate safe use of movement and voice;
(B) Assume roles through imitation and recreation;
(C) Identify the characteristics of dramatic play; and
(D) Participate in dramatic play.
