Hi! I'm Molly the molecule of water. I'm in a lake with all of my other water friends. We're about to start the water cycle.

The first thing I have to do is evaporate. Evaporation is when I change from water to water vapor. In order to do this, I need the sun to give me enough energy to go into the atmosphere.

Then condensation happens and I go up into a cloud. Condensation is when I change from water vapor back to water.

The next thing that happens is precipitation. Precipitation is when I fall out of the cloud. You probably know this as rain and snow.

Once I land on the ground, I soak into it. This is the process of infiltration.

Now that I'm in the ground, I will move throughout the soil in the direction that gravity pulls. This is the process of percolation.

After all of that we end back up in the lake where we started. Then the water cycle starts all over again. Thanks for coming along with my friends and I on this adventure.
