This book is dedicated to Ariel. Keep being awesome!

I'm Ariel, I am a police officer in Mine Town. Here there is usually not a lot of crime. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

It's been my dream ever since I was little to run and be the fastest person in the world. I'm so excited to enter into the annual Mine Town Marathon.

My best friend Sergio is a firefighter for Mine Town. He also has dreamed of running in the marathon.

Every year we sign up and then someone or something comes up. This year will be different we are going to run our hearts out. All the money that is made in this goes out to help children in need.I love helping people especially at Christmas time. I like to share, sharing is always good.

Now back to the race, the race is tomorrow at 1:00. I plan to get up and watch the Flash on t.v. I will make myself some spaghetti and have a brownie. I know it’s not good to eat sweets before you run but it will boost my energy! Oh well that's enough for tonight, time to go to sleep. I have a big day ahead of me.

I wake up at 8:00. I put on running clothes and set off to start watching the Flash. At about 10:00 I decide it's time to make lunch. I make myself some spaghetti and put some brownies in the oven. Ding! The brownies are done. It's time to eat.

I sit at the table and eat my lunch. I call my friend Sergio and invite him over. He loves spaghetti as well. He comes over and he eats with me.
“I can't wait to get out and run,”, I say. “Let's go then,” Sergio said. As we walk out to the track I am so excited. This would be the first time I would have run this in over 2 years!

Sergio and I start getting all stretched out. We do a warm up lap and head to the starting line. Once I am at the starting line Sergio points out this odd shadow coming out of the sky. I look up and see Blaze flying down super fast.
