The following are some suggestions that have been useful for children and families that have experienced previous hospitalizations. We hope they are helpful to your family as well.
Play as often as possible either in the Playroom or in your child’s hospital room.
Encourage your child to maintain connections to other siblings at home and friends at school.
Encourage your child to ask questions and clear up any misconceptions s/he may have.
Utilize Child Life Specialists, whom educate and support you and your child.
Kids come to the hospital for several reasons, some kids get sick. Other get hurt in an accident or a part of the body is not working well.

Your Hospital room will have a bed. It will be different from home because you can move the bed up or down with a control which can also be used to call your Nurse. You will have a TV and a family member can stay with you all the time, Day or Night.

What to Expect
Nurses will measure your temperature with
Thermometer.
