Sam the Snowshoe Bunny lives with his mom in the Taiga biome. A Taiga is an Arctic Forest found in northern regions of the world. Together, they have been living a happy life.

One night, the two of them decide that it is bed time. In the middle of the night, Sam and his mother are awoken by a loud CRASH!

Sam and his mother go and investigate what the noise was. They both see that all the trees are gone! Sam asks his mom what happened. Sam's mother says, "Deforestation has happened here. It is when all the trees get cut down for humans to use for energy and paper."

Sam and his mother begin to get worried so Sam's mother decides that they need to find a new place to live. The rabbits begin to start heading north in hopes of a new home.

NORTH

As Sam and his mom head North they notice that it is a lot colder where they are. The two of them come across Patty the Polar Bear. "You guys look far from home," says Patty. "We have been driven away from home due to deforestation," says Sam's mom. "I can relate to you guys. Have you heard of global warming?" asks Patty.

Both the bunnies shake their head no. Patty explains that global warming is when the earth's lower atmosphere has an increase in natural gases that causes climate change. Sam says, "oh no that's terrible." Patty nods in agreement and says, "yeah soon my home is going to be completely gone due to it."

Sam and his mother began to shake and Patty the Polar Bear notices. Patty says, "you guys seem a little cold, maybe you should head south to feel better. Sam and his mother both thank Patty and start heading south.

SOUTH

On their way south, Sam and his mother come across a pond. While there, they meet Freddy the Fish. "Hello there rabbits! My name is Freddy and i live in the Freshwater biome. As you might be able to tell by my pond, i am dealing with a lot of pollution right now."
