To my beloved Joshua

Hey Jess, what are you up to?

Oh nothing much Joshua, I am just doing some math homework, I am learning about sequences! Would you like to learn with me?

Of course!
Remember perfect square numbers? Here is a cool trick!
All you gotta do is make a square while using
the number given to you as a side of the square. Like if I ask you what is the square of 3, you literally have to make a square with the side as three. And you can use dots!

So cool! Can there be numbers for other shapes?
Yes, Triangular numbers are an example!
All you gotta do is keep adding a new row of dots to the bottom of the triangle! Each new row has one dot more that the row before.

So simple! What about three dimensional shapes?

It is possible, though it is a little hard to draw sometimes.
Here is a neat diagram I found though!
To figure out the number of the sequence, all you have to do is count the little cubes!
