The immigrant I interviewed is Ling
Wang. Ling Wang was coming to America in July,
2010, with her whole family. She is my mother.
She was immigrated from Taiwan.

Taiwan, officially the Republic of China (ROC),
is a country in East Asia. Originally based in
mainland China, the Republic of China now governs
the island of Taiwan.

Ling Wang was living in Banqiao District,
Taipei. The road in Banqiao is very narrow,
and some roads only can fit one car. The
city is full of tall apartments, and most of
the apartments have more than ten levels.
Ling Wang was living in level five, with an
elevator goes up and down. Her neighborhood
has six apartments, each has twelve levels.

Her husband, David Huang, is a dentist,
and has his own dental office. The
dental office was opened since 1999.

About five years before she immigrated to
America, David found a huge opportunity. He
could come to America and become a dentist
by taking four-part test. At first, he only
wanted to try it for fun. As the time went
on, he passed two parts, and he started to
think about moving to America. After he
finish last two parts, he decided to move
to America.

Another reason why she moved to
America is because she wanted her
children to get a better education.
She heard about how great the American
education is, so she decided to move to
America.
