There once was a little spider named Mr. Spidey. He lived in 

a nice little shed with his mom, dad, brother, and sister. He 

had his own room and a nice bed to sleep on each night. Ever 

since he was born, it was his dream to climb up the 

waterspout that was next to his home.

One day, he decided he would do it. He walked over 

and stared at the waterspout. 

Mr. Spidey went over to the waterspout. He 

looked inside it, and began climbing. It was 

hard work, but it was work he could handle. 

He was about a quarter of the way up 

when he heard a terrifying rumble.

He looked up, and suddenly all light 

disappeared. He felt a drop of water on his 

head, and he gasped. “Oh no!” he said as a 

bunch of water fell onto Mr. Spidey’s head and 

he fell down the spout.

“What happened?” Mr. Spidey asked himself. 

Mr. Spidey looked up and saw the waterspout 

sitting above him looking evil. “You might have 

made me fall once, but it won't happen again.”

 Even though Mr. Spidey said those things, he didn’t 

really mean them. He felt like he would never be 

able to get up the waterspout.

    “Mr. Spidey, it’s time for dinner!” said Momma 

Spidey.

    “Okay Mom. I’m coming now,” he answered.
