There was once a very small pumpkin patch. This pumpkin patch was tended by an elderly lady named Ruth.

One day, when Ruth was working in her pumpkin patch, she noticed a very small pumpkin that was unlike the others. This pumpkin was yellow instead of orange.

Ruth was mesmerized by this yellow pumpkin. So she made up her mind that this pumpkin would be the one she would enter in the annual pumpkin contest.

Since Ruth had decided to enter her yellow pumpkin into the annual contest, she realized that she had better provide the best care for this pumpkin.

Ruth wasted no time in coming up with ways to better care for her yellow pumpkin. First she put some fertilize on it to help it grow. Next, she watered in the fertilize. Lastly, she placed a small sheet of cardboard under the pumpkin to keep it from rotting on the ground.

Each morning, Ruth would get up, have breakfast, and then head down to her pumpkin patch. There, she prayed to God to help her yellow pumpkin grow big and healthy.

One morning, when she went to check her yellow pumpkin, she noticed that it was indeed growing like a weed. Why this pumpkin was going to be the biggest and boldest yellow she had ever seen.

After a week of very special treatment, she decided to take a picture of it to put on Facebook. There, her friends all commented on how nice the pumpkin looked.
