This book is dedicated to Mr. Feinberg's Global 9 classes. May you always find adventure in history and in your writing!

Have you ever been on an adventure? One that you didn't know was coming? Did it feel scary at first, but it turned out OK in the end? Naitee lived a long time ago in the Indus Valley, so her life was very different than yours. But some things were the same - like the adventure she went on one day. Well,
let's let Naitee tell you what
happened...
Today started out like any other. I woke up and played in the courtyard with my brother and sister in the morning like any other day. My favorite toy to play with is the ox and cart, but my brother Arjun always takes it first. He always gets what he wants because he's the oldest. My sister Kaia shared one of her monkeys with me,
though, so I was still happy.

Then, Mama called out and told Kaia and Arjun that it was time for them to take our pottery to Papa's ship on the King River so they could be traded for other things we need. Arjun gets to drive the cart! But I'm too young to go, Mama says.
"Time to go kids!

I don't think I'm too young, though. SO - I sneaked behind and followed them.
