A long long time ago, there was a city way up in Mount Damavand. This city called Kioski had a very little amount of people. Winter has just ended and it is now the start of spring. The spring is often mild in Iran, but temperatures do very often. In the mountains it is often cold towards the peak no matter what time of the year it is. There is no water in Kioski, so the only two teenage boys in the city are sent down the mountain each day to gather water and bring it back.
The two teenage boys are very different. Amir is a very large teen. Amir stands at 6 foot 2 inches and weighs around 220 pounds. He is broad through the shoulder and has some wildly defined legs. Amir has only been on this earth for a short 14 years. He is praised in Kioski for his ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. With Amir’s praise comes lots of cockiness. The second teenage boy is named Dana. Dana is a smaller teenage boy. Dana means “Wise”. He stands at an astonishing height of 5 foot 4 inches and weighs in a 127 pounds. Dana is 16 years old. He is nowhere near the size of Amir, and not even close to as strong as him. Dana often doesn’t get the water back to Kioski, and if he does it takes him much longer than Amir.

It is Sunday, Amir and Dana start walking to gather the water right at day break. Amir and Dana used to be really good friends, but they have grown apart since they have been assigned to gather the water. Amir and Dana get to the stream at the same time. Amir quickly fills both of his buckets with one hand easily. When it is Dana’s turn to fill his buckets, it isn’t so easy. Dana fills the first bucket and sets it on the bank with both hands, but struggles a lot and moves to the next bucket. Dana almost gets to the bank with the second bucket, but trips and falls and spills the water out of the bucket. Amir has already put the buckets on his stick, put it on his back, and started back up the mountain.
By the time Dana gets the second bucket filled and on his back, Amir is already out of sight. Dana, thinking to himself, wishes Amir would wait for him or at least help him get his buckets filled. Dana starts the 7 mile journey back up the mountain, but this process is very slow. Amir gets back to Kioski by mid day, and starts eating a big ol’ meal. Dana gets to Kioski a few hours later, but half of the water fell out of his bucket by the time he gets there. Amir say what took you so long to Dana in a very cocky manner.
