In China, long ago, a baby named Confucius was born.

When Confucius was 3, his father died. So he was raised by his mother until she died when he was 23 years old.

Confucius went on to start a family and work small jobs like taking care of animals. He also became a teacher and a thinker.

Many people knew Confucius for his teachings and good traits, so he became mayor of a town. Later, he became the Minister of Crime.

With his power and followers, Confucius tried to return the land to the duke. He wanted to tear down all the small kingdoms to make a big one, but he failed and instead made many enemies.
