Dedicated To: Ms. Healy's Core Classes

It was the day of September, 30th 1347. As the scorching hot sun beamed down on the fields, I watched the serfs plowing the fields picking wheat and potatoes for today's trade. Eating my daily lunch of grapes and cheese in my manor I watched making sure the serfs were doing their job.
The next day, everything was going as planned until that faithful day October 1347. I heard the bells of the 12 ships that I sent to gather resources. As the ships docked and the Jews sailed in, the serfs gathered around looking concerned. The Jews were all very sick like, with pale faces and very weak not even being able to pick up the shipments for trade.
I saw the commotion. I rushed down to the docks to see what happened. As I got to the docks, the crew from the ships walked slowly towards me. The crew began to yell and groan in pain. They had big swellings under their armpit the size of apples. And were constantly screaming. One of the crew members grabbed my arm and started to pull on it, begging for help. Not knowing what to do, I ran quickly to our monarch to tell him the situation occurring.
I blasted through the doors explaining the situation as best as I could to the monarch. The monarch was speechless, his kingdom was the most thriving kingdom of the ages and he did not want that to end now. He suggested that we keep the infected/sick in a house until tomorrow and the medics will check them out tomorrow. Nervous I would get infected I scurried back to my manor away from the sick, though little did I know that this would become a worldwide problem.
