Dear Diary,

I live in Leuca Italy and I'm 21 years old. My sorella left for the Americas two years ago and i haven't seen her sense then. She had to leave because our famigila went very pour after our nonna died because she was the source of our money. My sorella has enough money to bring another member of our famigila and she choose me. I'm so exited to go.

Dear Diary,

Today was my first day on the boat to the Amiericas. Because my famigila doesn't have very much money I stay at the bottom of the boat. It is very crowded and there are no private rooms. I see people all around me getting ill and i just hope I'm not next. I need to keep thinking about what I will do when I see my sorella and how much I'm helping my famigila.

Dear diary,

Toay was the day I arrived in new york finally. Everyone was very emotional because they where so happy to be off that terrible boat. Some strange people made sure I was healthy and didn't have any diseases. My sorella was waiting for me at the front of the building where I was checked. I was so happy to see her and we went back the a apartment. It was a small apartment but it was just me and my sorella so it was plenty of place. I love my new casa.
