Introduction to Limestone

Limestone is a sedimentary rock that is mainly composed of calcium carbonate. The mineral is called calcite.
How does CaCO3 form in Nature?
One way that CaCO3 forms in nature is chemical reactions happen in sea water, combining the two substances of calcium and bicarbonate, creating CaC03, which is Calcium Carbonate.
How is Limestone used and eaten in your daily life? (pt 1)
In the morning, sometimes you'll have toast or something with bread for breakfast. There's actually limestone in it, as farmers use it to help grow the wheat in your bread.

You use limestone daily to clean your house! Surface cleaners for your counter tops and such contain a limestone filler.
Environment of Petroleum Limestone
Petroleum Limestone is limestone that over time turns into petroleum. It is mainly composed of calcareous ooze and 'forams', forming in deep water. Since it does not decompose, it turns into petroleum. These can be hundreds of meters thick.
