is for AIR PRESSURE

Air pressure is the measure of the force with which air molecules push on a surface.
Air Pressure is greatest at the surface of Earth because there is more of the atmosphere above you to push down on you.

A Barometer is an instrument used to measure the atmospheric pressure.
is for BAROMETER
is for CLIMATE

Climate is the common long term weather conditions in a particular area.
Climate cannot be considered a acceptable indicator of actual conditions since it is based upon an average of several elements.
Elements of Climate.
Precipitation
Temperature
Humidity
Sunshine
Wind Velocity
Fog
Frost
Hail Storms
is for DEW

Dew is the moisture from water vapor in the air that has condensed on objects near the ground, whose temperatures have fallen below the dew point temperature.

is for EVAPORATION

Evaporation is the process of a liquid changing into a vapor or gas.

is for FRONT

A Front is a boundary separating two masses of air of different densities. In weather analysis, fronts are represented using various colored triangles and half-circles, depending on the type of front.

is for GLOBAL WARMING

Global Warming is a theory that believes increased concentrations of greenhouse gases are causing an elevation in the Earth's surface temperature.

is for HUMIDITY

Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere.

is for ICE STORM

An Ice Storm is liquid rain that is falling and freezing on contact with cold objects. This creates ice build-ups of 1/4th inch or more that can cause severe damage.

is for JET STREAM

A Jet Stream is a band of air that moves weather around the world very quickly. This weather includes high and low pressure air, as well as cold and warm air.

A Knot is a measure of wind speed. One Knot is the same as one nautical mile per hour (1.15 mph). A nautical mile is one minute of one degree of latitude.

The symbols that measures wind speed are called "feathers" that stick out from the tail.

is for LIGHTENING

Lightening is any form of visible electrical discharges produced by thunderstorms. Flashes of light in the sky.
is for METEOROLOGIST

A Meteorologist is an expert in weather. They predict the weather and provide a forecast, which describes the most significant weather conditions expected during the current and following days.

is for NATURAL DISASTER

A Natural Disaster is an event caused by nature.
Some examples: Flood, Volcano, Hurricane, Tornado, Earthquake, Wildfire, Blizzard.

is for OCEAN CURRENTS

Ocean Currents are continuous, directed movement of sea water generated by a number forces.
These forces acting upon the water.
Salinity
Salinity Differences
Temperature Differences
Coriolis Effect
Breaking Waves
Wind

is for PRECIPITATION

Precipitation is a part of the Water Cycle! Precipitation. It is a liquid or solid water that falls from the atmosphere and reaches the ground.
