Tip #1 - Never share your location.



though it may be tempting to show off where you are to your friends, you should remember that anyone can see what you post. That is why it may be unwise to share your exact location online where anybody, even complete strangers can view what you post. Its better to stay safe and to never share your location.

Tip #2 - Do not meet someone you met online in person.

Even if you met someone online line playing games and consider them your friend, you don't really know them. If someone you meet online asks to meet in person you should tell a trusted adult. Never give them your address or tell them where you live as this could be dangerous.

Tip #3 - Use privacy settings.

You should always have privacy setting turned on so that only friends and family can see what you post. Having these settings off can be dangerous and allow for unwanted attention from strangers. Its better and safer to set your account to private so strangers cannot see what you post.

Tip #4 - Never share your password with anyone.

To make sure your account is secure you should choose a strong password and never share it with anybody. Be wary of spam emails that may ask for your password. Do not ever tell anybody your password not even your best friend. You should make your password something that is not easily guessable by others.

Tip #5 - THINK before you post.

Once you post something online its on there forever. Pressing the delete button does not mean the post is gone. Other people can save and distribute the post but it is also in the archives of that website forever. So you should really be careful and think about what you post.
