Is a substance that has inertia and occupies physical space. 

Pure substance

is a material that has a constant composition is homogeneous and has consistent properties throughout the sample.

Atom

the basic unit of a chemical element.

Element

 A substance that cannot be decomposed into simpler substances by chemical means, and is made up of atoms all with identical number of protons. 

Compound

a thing that is composed of two or more separate elements; a mixture.

Heterogeneous mixture

is simply any mixture that is not uniform in composition - it's a non-uniform mixture of smaller constituent parts

Homogeneous mixture  

 is simply any mixture that is uniform in composition throughout.

Solution

a liquid mixture in which the minor component the solute is uniformly distributed within the major component the solvent.

Suspension

 is a heterogeneous mixture in which solute-like particles settle out of a solvent-like phase sometime after their introduction.

Colloid

a mixture in which one substance of microscopically dispersed insoluble particles is suspended throughout another substance.

Physical property

matter not involving in its manifestation a chemical change.

Viscosity

a measure of the resistance of a fluid to deformation under shear stress

Conductivity

The ability or power to conduct or transmit heat, electricity, or sound.

Malleability

is the ability of a substance, usually a metal, to be deformed or molded into a different shape.

Melting point
