Have you ever looked up at the night sky? Have you seen the tiny spots of light? Did you notice that some of those dots are brighter than the others? That some are bigger than the others?
These tiny spots are called stars. Stars come in many different masses, sizes, and temperatures.

A star begins from a cloud of dust and gas called a Nebula. Nebulae exist in the space between stars- also known as interstellar space.
The helix Nebula is the closest known Nebula to the Earth. It is approximately 700 light-years away from the Earth. That means that if you could travel at the speed of light, it would take you 700 years to get there!
