It was a bright and sunny day in the Kingdom of Avondale.
But sadness filled the air from the passing of their king, King Bernard.
Princess Josie and her Mother, Queen Alina are walking back from the church to the castle until Josie runs up ahead and finally lets out all the emotions that she was holding in.

"I know how hard this must be Josie, losing your father. He was a great man," consoled Queen Alina.
"I already miss father so much," whimpered Josie.
"I miss him too, now come along dear it's time to go home."

"No!" shouted Josie as she pushed away from her mother.
Confused, Alina questioned, "Pardon me? Josie, what's wrong, honey?"
"You don't understand, I miss him!"
"Josie, believe me I miss him just as much as you do. You are not alone."
"I don't know, I just miss him." Josie's outbreak was over and they both walked back home.

Queen Alina called over to Squire Daniel for advice. Squire Daniel always knew what to say, even in hard times like this.
"Squire Daniel why must it be this way, it is almost as if Josie is angry at me."
"Your majesty, I do not think that Princess Josie is mad at you but mad at what is going on, and is taking her anger out on anything near her. She simply just does not know how to express her emotions yet." said Squire Daniel.

Queen Alina felt more relaxed hearing that kind of news. "I suppose you are right Squire Daniel, thank you dearly."
Squire Daniel bowed his head and was on his way.
With that news Queen Alina has the idea to go and talk about what has happened and ask Josie how she is feeling.
