This is me, after finishing building my first farm in Kansas.

This is me and my friend Richard. We both came from a family of farmers

Alexandria moved in with me and we lived in the first farm I built in Kansas

On October 24, 1929 the stock market crashed so i had to quit school to work more on the farm

Tragic days for farmers. Dust bowls ruined my farm and the crops i was growing. The dust was so horrific it put me out of my job so my wife and i had to move in with my parents.

All of my hard work to my farm was ruined. So me and my wife volunteer in soup kitchens

1930 I finally got a job manual labor. It was unsafe and dangerous but if it would help my family, ill do it.

Our family lived in shacks,there was poverty everywhere. We could not afford a decent house.

My wife got very sick due to all of these condition. We had no money to help her. She pasted away July 19 1931.

The great depression was caused by crisis in farm sectors like dust bowls, tariffs and war debt, and finally unequal distribution of income.
