Well photosynthesis is the process by which plants and other things make food. It is a chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into sugars that the cell can use as energy.

"Oh cool thanks, but I was also wondering what's the difference between a reactant and a product?

Oh yeah, well sun most get confused with these two too because of the similar look in spelling, but anyways reactants are substances that start a chemical reaction and products are substances that are produced in the reaction.

"Interesting, but do you know where it occurs by any chance?"

I don't know all the details to be honest, but I know it takes place inside plant cells in small things called chloroplasts which contain a green substance called chlorophyll.

"I just realized flower, what are the types of organisms that perform photosynthesis?

It is pretty much just most plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. They are called photoautotrophs.

"Yeah they're weird looking right...anyways they depend on glucose as an energy source just like some animals, as well as oxygen so they can breathe."

"Wait, you know those weird looking things that walk on two legs with two other legs coming out of their nucleus...what ways do they depend on photosynthesis?"
