On December 7th, 1941 Pearl harbor wa sbombed by the Japanese because the U.S. had cut off trade with them and decided to get revenge. Around 2,400 Americnas died from the tragedy.

The U.s. decided to declare war on December 8, 1941. A few short days later Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S. That is when World War 2 began.

The Executive order 9066 was used to force many Japanese Americnas into concentration camps. Even though many people don't say it this time in history was a very harsh thing to do especially for America.

The Executive Order was created because the U.S. was scared of connections the Japanese Americans might have to the enemy. It only applied to the Japanese Americans.

When leaving for the concentration camps they had one week could carry in a suitcase and if they couldn't fit they had to sell it all.

Assembly centers were the temporary incarceration camps. They lived in animal stalls. Those were basically their living spaces until otherwise.

The camps were located in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, Arkansas, And California. They were located there because of their remoteness. For the most part the camps were surrounded by mountains,deserts, and Swamps.

They had to eat meals in mess halls. They got fed 3 times a day and it wasn't anymore or any less than that. They were given very small portions of food daily.

They either lived in barracks or small compartments with no running water.
