Hey Guys, My NAme is mercury ! Today i am going to tell you about where i came from and what i am made of! it all started around 1500 BC in Egypt, Africa...

Mercury was known to the ancient Egyptians since 1500 BC. There are even some sightings of mercury being referenced in some of their tombs.

Aristotle Refered to mercury in writing as "Hydro-Argyros" (Ar-Gy-Ros) meaning liquid-metal in english.

the Romans later modified the Greek name slightly referring to mercury as Hydragyrum...

each element on the periodic table has a different name. like my name is mercury. with our name we each get a symbol which corresponds with our scientific name, if given. Like Hg .

Each element has a specific number that is attached to it called the atomic number . The atomic number tells us how many protons that element has in its nucleus. An atom contains the same amount of protons as electrons .

Like, 80, for example. The number of protons and electrons i have in my nucleus and energy levels.
