We were packing up the car to go on vacation,.it was a five-hour car ride it when I realized I didn't pack a drink or a snack then I thought this is going to be a long ride.    

About 20 minutes in my mom was already chatting away like she does any other time. Because she cannot read a book or play her phone in the car because she gets nauseous and gets a headache, so my mom is chatting about work with my stepdad mean while my 3-year-old sister is blasting her YouTube as loud as possible , I am playing my phone and thirty minutes in I am bored of playing the games on my phone.    

“How are you bored already?” asked my mother confused. “we have about four more hours and we have only been in the car for about one hour. So, find something to do or be bored.” Then I grabbed a book to read.    

I started to talk “I hope our hotel room is worth it and not a piece of junk like last vacation.” he said that because last vacation we took to ocean city Maryland was not worth it was nasty, we had to wait 2 hours for our room which was already reserved, and there were teenagers every which way. During that conversation I somehow fell asleep.  

Then when I woke up, I asked my mom if we were their cause we were in a parking lot. Then my mom replied “yes,” I could not believe it I was so shocked I could not believe it I slept for an hour in a half. It was not as bad as I assumed.  

As you can see, I was terrified that it was going to be a bad ride it was not as bad as I thought. I learned that things aren't as bad as you think.
