MARIA CALLAS
Maria Callas was a Greek soprano. She was born in 1923 in New York to greek immigrant parents but moved back to Greece at the age of 13 where she got her musical education and later established her career in Italy. She faced struggles and scandals over the course of her life.
She was one of the most famous and influential opera singers of the 20th century. Her musical and dramatic talents led to her being called La Divina (the divine).She died in 1977.

EL GRECO
Dominicos Theotokopoulos ,most widely known as El Greco(The Greek), was a famous painter ,sculptor and architect of the Spanish Renaissance.He was born in Crete in 1541 when the island was under the venecian rule and he trained as an icon painter(post-byzantine art). He moved to Venice in 1567 and to Rome in 1570 where he worked as a painter and was influenced by Mannerism and Venetian Renaissance.
In 1577 he moved to Toledo, Spain where he lived and died in 1614. In Toledo he produced his best known works.He is regarded as the precursor of both Expressionism and Cubism.
KATERINA
ELENA PAPARIZOU
Elena Paparizou is a famous greek singer. She was born in 1982 in Gothenburg, Sweden to Greek immigrant parents. She started her carreer in 1999 as a member of the band Antique.Antique disbanded in 2003 and Paparizou followed a solo career. In 2005, she represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "My Number One", which she won. It was the first Greek win in the contest's history and significantly transformed her career.She has won a lot of music awards and she is very famous in Greece.
DIMITRA
KONSTANDINOS FORTOUNIS
Konstantinos Fortounis is a professional football player. He plays for Olympiacos and the Greece national team. He was born in Trikala, Thessaly in 1992. He has played for the greek team Asteras Tripolis and the german team Kaiserslautern. He is an attacking midfielder and his total career goals are 77 in 275 matches.

ODYSSEAS ELYTIS
Odysseas Elytis was the pen name of Odysseus Alepoudellis, a Nobel prize awarded greek poet. He was born in Crete in 1911 and later moved with his family to Athens where he finished high school and attended Law School at the University of Athens. He published his first poem in 1935 in the journal ''New Letters''.He was twice Programme Director of the Greek National Radio Foundation. From 1969 to 1972 under the greek military dictatorship, Elytis exiled himself to Paris. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Litterature in 1979. He died in Athens in 1996.
CHRISTINA
ALIKI VOUGIOUKLAKI
Aliki Vougiouklaki was a famous greek actress. She was so famous that she was given the title of the National Star of Greece. She was born in 1934 and died at the age of 64. In 1952 she secretly auditioned for the National Theatre of Greece, passed the exams and started attending the classes. She co-starred with Dimitris Papamichail(her husband) in most of her films and in a number of theatrical plays. She was hard working and sacrificed a lot of things to succeed. She also had a natural gift for acting.
SILIA
PYRROS DIMAS
Pyrros Dimas is a weightlifting athlete. He was born in 1971 in Himara, southern Albania to Greek parents. Dimas started the sport at 11 and in 1989, he became triple Champion of Albania and in 1990 he repeated himself. He took Greek citizenship in 1992 and first competed under the Greek flag in the 1992 Summer Olympics, winning the gold medal . Dimas is the most decorated Greek athlete in the Olympics and is widely considered as one of the greatest weightlifters of all time, having been three times Olympic Gold Medalist and three times World Champion. He is currently the technical director for USA Weightlifting.
