Poland is a country in Central Europe with a population of over 38.5 million people. Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Palnd.

Poland’s history dates back to prehistory times when Slavic tribes on this territory arrived and settled down. The first ruler was Mieszko I in the 10th century. In 966 duke Mieszko I converted to Christianity and baptism brought Poland to the community and Western nations. The first coronation took place at Wawel Cathedral in Krakow in 1025 and the Kingdom of Poland began to take shape.

Labour turmoil in 1980 led to the formation of the independent trade union "Solidarity" ("Solidarność"), which over time became a political force. Lech Wałęsa, a Solidarity candidate, eventually won the presidency in 1990. The Solidarity movement heralded the collapse of communist regimes and parties across Europe.


The country became a member of the European community of nations on 1 May 2004.

Ljubljana - capital town
Slovenia is a small country and Ljubljana is the capital town. On the west of Slovenia is Italy. Nova Gorica (town where we live) is located near Italian border. On 2004 the boarder was broken so we have common square called Europe square. it is near railway station.
Slovenia has two million inhabitants. We have also Adriatic sea, mountains, caves... It is very beautiful country so you are welcome to visit us.
