The Lorax is an odd fellow, why yes indeed he is. But he's all sorts of wonderful he speaks for the trees or so he says he helps the animals. protects the Truffula trees and for long as he knew not many people came around these parts that could even harm his trees.That is until one day.

That day the Once-ler came, he came in search for the perfect fabric for his thneed but he was sure he would make a great success with it. To make family proud you see his family was in big business so he's wanted to make a business of his own.

That very day the Once-ler found a forest full of Truffula trees. The tuft of the Truffula trees were the soft thing he that he had ever felt.

"This is just perfect for my thneed "the Once-ler said.

And with that thought his head the Once-ler cut down the Truffula Tree. Not long after having cut the Truffula Tree The Lorax appeared.

"Who are you " the frighten Once-ler asked the Lorax responded with "I Am The Lorax I speak for the trees for they have no tongues to speak with. And you have committed a grave crime for cutting down this tree".

"Crimes what crimes have I committed, I'm merely cut down this tree" the Once-ler said astonished that such a simple and harmless act has been taken as a crime.

"Yes and that alone is a grave crime. You see these trees are homes to creatures, food sources for others but yet you cut down this tree and for what reason may that be?" asked the Lorax as he scolded the Oncer-ler.

"Well that's quite simple, simple indeed I need the tuft of the Truffula trees to make a thneed" said the Oncer-ler as if it made perfect sense.

"A thneed, what's a thneed ?" the Lorax ask's confused.

"A Thneed is what ever you want it to be, a hat, a butterfly net it can a blanket or even a towel. That's what makes the thneed so great." The Oncer-ler said sounding extremely proud of himself.
