Geography

Geography is the study of Earth. We learn about the different continents, such as North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Antarctic, Europe, and Australia. We also learn about the different oceans such as Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean. As a class, we learn about the latitude and longitude.

Government

Government is a group or system that organizes a community, often a state. The seven types of government are Tribal Rule, Oligarchy, Direct Democracy, Republic, Absolute Monarchy, Constitutional Monarchy and Dictatorship. Some governments are governed by a leader or the people. The government protect people, resolve conflicts with the country and other countries, and protects the people's rights.

Economics

What is Economics? It's the study of an exchange system of things for values. For example, one could exchange money for toys. Different countries have goods and services. Goods are something you can hold or touch such as food and toys. Service is doing something for someone such your doctor or coach. Depending on the country's level of development, countries trade with other countries to get new or better things.

Culture

What exactly is culture? Culture is when you believe different things with certain amount of people or family. Some cultural celebrations include holidays, religion, language, sports, clothing. Some countries might have culture diffusion. Culture diffusion is when a country starts something, like sports. Sometimes it spreads to different parts of countries other than the one country that started it.

Religion

Religion is when you believe and worship, you look up to a god or gods. Some religions that we learn are Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Hindus believe that the circle of birth happens over and over again. Buddhism is like Hinduism. Hinduism had an effect on Buddhism.
