Hello kids, today you will be learning about physical and Chemical changes. Physical and Chemical changes are two different topics. In today's lesson you will learn that.

What Psychical Change Means

Physical change means no new substances are formed. The looks will change too. In the picture below you can see that the water was turned into ice and is now melting back too water.

The picture below you will see someone holding a snapped pencil and a picture of what it looked like before it was snapped. That is an example of a Physical change

What makes a psychical change not a chemical change

In a physical change there is no chemical reaction but in a chemical change there is.

What is a Chemical Change

A chemical change is when it is mixed with another substance to form a new substance

Example of Chemical change

In the picture below you will see a piece of wood before it was on fire, and you will see one that is burning.

What makes a Chemical Change not Physical

Chemical change is not physical because, with a chemical change, the substance changes once a chemical reaction happens. But, in physical change the substance stays the same.
