It was a beautiful December morning in Arizona, and Faith was getting ready to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children(FMSC) with her mom, dad, aunt, grandma, and her Girl Scout troop.

When Faith arrived, they were told to place hairnets over their head to protect the food. Then, everyone gathered to watch a video about a little boy named Emanuel.

Emanuel was only three years of age, but was close to death. Both of his parents left him and his two brothers at birth. The oldest son had to find food everyday. The village they lived in did not provide much food or water. Most of the time, they had to eat dirt for dinner.

This made Faith realize how blessed she is to have the opportunity to receive food and water everyday. Lots of children take for granted that they have food waiting for them on the dinner table, thought Faith.

Later that evening, Faith decided she wanted to help children like Emmanuel (who is now healthy and thriving including his brothers with help from FMSC). She then decided that she wanted to be more involved and make this her goal.
