Beliefs
Christianity is a monotheistic religion and has many denominations. Teachings from this religion come predominantly from the bible. Christians believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. believe that Jesus is the son of God, the Messiah and is one with God. Christians believe that Jesus Christ died and resurrected for the forgiveness of our sins.

A main part of the Christian faith is worship. Christians worship by going to church usually on Sundays where they make donations, pray, dance, sing and listen to the word. It is also apart of the faith to fast.

The cross is a very important symbol of Christianity. It symbolizes the crucifixion, Jesus' death and resurrection for our sins.

Christmas (December 21st)
Easter (March/April)
Commemerates the birth of Jesus Christ. Also know as the Nativity.
The celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and is also the most important religious festival of the Christian liturgical year. prior to which is the lenten season.
Lent (the 7th Wednesday prior to Easter)
It begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts for 40 days. Lent is a time when Christians pray and fast.

Path to Salvation
Although many people tend to believe that the way to salvation is giving to the church and believing, for Christian that is not the case. This can differ depending on the denomination. However, for the most part baptism grants salvation. Furthermore, life after death depends on denomination. Some Christians believe in Hell, Heaven, and Purgatory. While others believe that there is only Hell and Heaven, and that your sins determine which one you go to.

Beliefs

Islam is a a monotheistic faith. They believe in Allah, God. However, they believe that Jesus was only a prophet. Islam was founded by Muhammad. Muhammad revealed the Qu'ran to Muslims which is the word they go by. Also, this religion has 5 pillars- Shahadah (the declaration of faith), Salat (ritual prayer), Zakah (alms tax), Sawm (fasting), and Hajj (pilgrimage).(Unite Religion Initiative).

Worship

Muslims worship in a Mosque. They also pray, fast, practice charity, and have rituals. Muslims see Friday as a day of prayer as on that day at 12pm they must pray at a mosque. However, on other days they can pray at home, work, or school. Furthermore, before praying they must wash their hands, arms, neck, face and feet. (Classroom)

Islam does not have any official symbols however, the Cresent moon and star is known for represents the Islamic religion. (Religious-Symbols.net)

Ramadan Fast (dates differs in different countries)
This commentates Muslims being close to God and to develop spiritual piety, patience, and perseverance. It is celebrated by fasting from sunrise to sunset.
Islamic New Year (1st day of of the 1st month in the Islamic Calender)
This represents a period of reflection and awareness and is celebrated by fasting and praying leading up to the day.
Eid Al-Fitr(10th month of the Islamic Calender)
Eid-al-Adha (10th day of the 12th month in the Muslim calendar)
This marks Abraham's submission to the will of God and his willingness to sacrifice his son. This is celebrated by sacrificing an animal and sharing it with the needy, and donating to charities.

This commerates the end of the fasting month of Ramadan and is celebrated by families gathering, giving gifts, and donating to the poor.

Pathway to Salvation

Muslims know that sin is inevitable, therefore they believe it is important to constantly ask God for forgiveness. Also, Muslims believe that only God can grant them Salvation and that judgement day will come.

Beliefs

Hinduism is a polytheistic religion. There are about 33 million gods in the Hindu religion. Hindus strive to achieve dharma which concerns their conduct, righteousness, moral law, and duty. The Hindu scriptures are called Vedras. Also, Hindus believe that the world was created by 3 gods- Braham, Vishnu, and Shiva. (BBC). Furthermore, Hinduism has no agreed upon set of teachings

Hindu people worship in Mandirs which are dedicated to different gods. Hindus make offerings to the shrine of the sacred gods.
