The sun arose with its bright, yellow smile,
just like it did every day.
It always seemed so eager,
to send the camels on their way.

All the camels in the corral
slowly began to wake.
They stretched their long and powerful necks.
Yawns made their loose lips shake.
All of the young camel girls and boys
were ready to run and play.
They loved to explore in the sand and sun.
Adventures would fill their day!
But there was one little lonely camel girl
who didn't join in their fun.
She felt different from the others.
She was the only one.

You see, her fur was spotted with colors;
blue, yellow, green, red and black.
The other camels didn't look like her.
They'd leave her and wouldn't look back.

Her mamma called her Crystal Camel,
said her colors made her strong.
But no matter how she tried to fit in,
she felt like she didn't belong.
One day when the other camels went to roam,
passed hills of Arabian sand.
A sand storm rolled in without a warning!
Engulfing all of the land.

The bedouins searched and called out from camp
for the threatened camel herd.
But the camels clad in their brown fur coats
were unseen and couldn't hear a word.
So the wisest and bravest bedouin
had no choice at all.
He had to go out in the storm
and return the camels to their stall.
He needed something special.
Something to catch their eye.
Something that the sun could enlighten
to shine through the orange-brown sky.
