Sure, dear. Ask away.

Today at school, Ms. Robbins said I'm a leader in our class. 

I thought, "what, ME, a leader? I’m barely ten and a half!"

Sadie, I must say, your teacher is correct

She must have seen what I can see, I think her words are fact!

Everything you need to know can be found within you now.

Within me? Where? ...How?! What exactly do you mean? 

What is it within me, that you and her can see?

Well Sadie, you must first explore your purpose. 

Do you know who you are? Can you see where you are going?

When you know who you are

and you can see where you are going, 

Follow your heart; 

It will lead you to the places

where you will learn to live your passion.

But, passion is not all you need, Sadie.

You must also understand what is meaningful to you; 

What do you appreciate, and how do you behave? 

Your values and your actions will serve to pave your way.

What else is there, dad?

I’m glad you asked, my dear. 

There are some things you must be if you really want to lead.

Be open and be honest, be a listening ear. 

Share your story freely, but always pause to hear.
