One day, Gabriela's dad brought her mother home some beautiful flowers. After admiring the flowers for some time, Gabriela noticed that a vase was missing. She asked her dad if they could go to the store to buy one. They went on their way, picked out a vase, and made their way home.

When they arrived home, her mother told Gabriela how beautiful they were and asked, "Could you please go and get the vase from the living room?” Gabriela exclaimed, “Yes," as she ran to the living room. She picked up the vase and carried it to the kitchen.

Gabriela’s mother began to cut the stems off the flowers to help them fit in the vase. “Mom, can I fill the vase with water for you?” Gabriela asked. “Yes, but be very careful to not drop it.” she replied. Gabriela carefully walked to vase over to her mom and placed it on the counter as they rearranged the flowers in the vase. Gabriela was so excited that she got to help!

A few days later, Gabriela was swinging her toy in the air when she heard a crash! She looked over her shoulder and saw a broken vase. Gabriela was did not want to tell her mother because she was afraid she would get mad at her. She stood there thinking about what to do. After a few minutes passed, Gabriela finally went to go get her mom. 

“Mom?” She asked.

“Yes, Gabriela?” her mother replied.

“Um,” Gabriela began, but became nervous and started crying.

“What’s wrong Gabriela?” her mom asked frantically, running over to make sure she wasn't hurt.
