Hi! My name is Archer! One of my favorite things to do is go on adventures to all of my favorite places and look for the animals that live there! I just got a new phone for my birthday and cant wait to use it to learn fun facts about all of my animal friends! Will you help me?






One of my favorite places to explore is the forest right outside of my backdoor! Lets go see what animals we can find!








This is the forest! When I am exploring in the forest I love climbing trees and smelling the flowers. I see many forest animals scurrying about! Lets take pictures on my phone and see what interesting things we can learn about them! What forest animals do you see?






Squirrels
Squirrels are born blind.
Squirrels eat mostly nuts, fruits and seeds.
Raccoon
Raccoons are active at night, they are nocturnal.
Raccoons are related to bears.
Deer
A baby deer is called a 'fawn'.
Deer take their first steps within half an hour of their birth.













This is the beach! In the summer my family always goes to the beach. We surf, build sandcastles and look for all of the animal families together. What animal families do you see? Lets look them up on my phone!












Dolphin
Dolphins are believed to be very intelligent.
Dolphins live in schools or pods of up to 12 individuals.
Sea Turtle
Sea turtles bury their eggs in the sand.
Sea Turtles return to the exact spot where they were born to lay their eggs.
Seagull
Seagulls mate for life.
Seagulls live in colonies that can consist of few pairs of birds or thousands of birds.








This is the lake! My Mom and Dad take me out on the boat at the lake. Sometimes we fish, but my favorite thing to do is look for all of the different lake animals! What lake animals do you see? Lets learn more about them!






Alligator
Alligators have been living on Earth for MILLIONS of years.
Alligators can weigh over 1,000 lbs!
Duck
Ducks have waterproof feathers.
A male duck is called a drake, a female duck a hen, and a baby duck a duckling.
Fish
Fish have gills that pull oxygen from the water around them.
There are over 30,000 known species of fish.
