One day Penny the Penguin and her friends Jerry the Cat and Vanessa the Parrot were outside playing in the snow

The group of friends was talking about what their superpowers would be if they were given to them

Jerry the Cat said...

I want to have invisibility!

Vanessa the Parrot said...

I want super strength!

Penny the Penguin knew what superpower she wanted, but she was embarrassed to say

So, Penny, what would you want your superpower to be?

asked Jerry the Cat

Penny quietly mumbled to herself,

Well, flying might be kind of cool, but penguins could never fly.

I bet I could teach you how to fly, it's easy!

said Vanessa the Parrot

All you have to do is flap your wings really fast and jump!

So Penny the Penguin started flapping her wings as fast as she could and jumping as high as she could, but nothing happened.

said Jerry the Cat

Try concentrating really hard, maybe you'll levitate!

So Penny the Penguin concentrated as hard as she could...and still no luck.

Maybe I can carry you while I'm flying! That would be close enough, right?

Worth a shot!

So Vanessa the Parrot carried Penny the Penguin off the ground and just like that, they were flying! It worked!
