This is Henry the Husky. Henry likes to travel and go on exciting adventures. He lives in the United States. He had visited many different countries, but one country he hadn't visited yet was Australia. Henry had always wanted to travel to Australia because he knew that there were a lot of places to visit and things to do.

One night, Henry decided to book the earliest flight he could find. The following morning, he hopped on a plane to Australia, excitedly anticipating the crazy adventure he would go on when he arrived.

As soon as Henry arrived in Australia that afternoon, he clicked on the Google Maps app on his phone. Henry thought Google Maps could help him navigate where he needed to go while he was there. Coincidentally, Google Maps was created at a company based in Sydney, Australia. The app is now used worldwide.

That night, Henry decided the first place he wanted to visit was the Sydney Opera House. Google Maps showed him the absolute location of the Sydney Opera House: Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia. While Henry was there, he went to an orchestra concert and saw the unique artwork that lit up the opera house.

Early the next morning, Henry traveled to his second location: The Outback. Google Maps could not identify an absolute location for The Outback. However, Henry knew the relative location of The Outback was in Central Australia.

Henry walked through The Outback for what seemed like hours and hours. At one point, Henry noticed the scenery had changed, and he stopped to take a look around. He realized he had reached a new destination. He was in the bush. The bush is located in the backwoods of Australia, which meant that Henry was lost in the middle of nowhere. That's crazy, right? Henry couldn't be lost. He tried to check Google Maps to figure out exactly where he was, but unfortunately, his phone didn't have service. This was bad news for Henry. It meant he really was lost.

Although Henry had good reason to, he didn't panic. Instead, he decided to travel to different places in Australia and learn more about this fascinating country without the help of Google Maps. Henry visited three of Australia's natural landmarks: Yarra Valley, Ayers Rock, and the Great Barrier Reef. These landmarks are all physical characteristics of Australia.

Henry also traveled to three of Australia's man-made tourist attractions: Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. These places are human characteristics of Australia.

Although Henry felt as if he had gained knowledge on multiple different aspects of Australia, he knew he still had more to learn. One particular topic Henry wanted to learn more about was the movement of people in Australia. Australia's population is continuously growing at a rapid rate. For example, Melbourne's population has increased by 119,421 people this year alone! That's a lot of people!

Additionally, Henry wanted to know more about the movement of Australia's products. The mining industry is very popular in Australia, and iron ore is one of Australia's top exported products. As a souvenir, Henry took a chunk of iron ore to remind him of his adventure in Australia.
Henry knew that people in Australia have to adapt to the environment around them, just like people living in any other country have to. However, not every country has to adapt to the same kind of environment. Australia experiences many different types of natural disasters, such as heatwaves, tsunamis, bushfires, floods, tropical cyclones, earthquakes, and landslides. Australians adapt to these situations by practicing drills for each natural disaster that might occur.
