Nucleus

• Control center of cell
• Contains the cell's genetic information.

Rough ER (endoplasmic reticulum)

• Located around the nucleus
• Rough endoplasmic reticulum
• Coated with Ribosomes
• Helps to produce proteins

Ribosomes

• Site of protein synthesis
• Located on the rough endoplasmic reticulum or floating in the cytosol.

Golgi Apparatus

• Stores, modifies, and packages proteins to prepare them for shipment.
• Proteins are transported to and from the Golgi apparatus via Vesicles.

Mitochondria

• Performs cellular respiration to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate)

Lysosomes

• Uses enzymes to break down cell wastes, harmful chemicals, and dying organelles.

Cell Membrane

• Flexible outer layer of the cell
• Regulates what can come in and out of the cell.
