5-ESS2-1: Develop a model using an example to describe ways the geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and/or atmosphere interact.

The Earth has four main systems that interact with one another. Those systems are the geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. The interactions between those four systems are what makes the Earth habitable for life.
The geosphere is composed of all the natural and lifeless things that make up the surface of the Earth. This includes solid and molten rock, soil, and sediments.
Some ways in which the this system interacts with the other systems:
1) The geosphere provides a platform for melted ice and water bodies to flow back into the oceans of the hydrosphere.
2) The geosphere reflects energy from the sun to the atmosphere.
The biosphere is composed of all the living components on the Earth. This includes things such as plants and animals.
Some ways in which the this system interacts with the other systems:
1) The biosphere receives gases, heat, and sunlight from the atmosphere.
2) The biosphere receives water from the hydrosphere and a living medium from the geosphere.
The hydrosphere is composed of all the water on the planet. This includes water on the surface, below the surface, as well as vaporized water droplets.
Some ways in which the this system interacts with the other systems:
1) Evaporation from the hydrosphere provides the medium (water particles) for clouds in the atmosphere.
2) Water weathers and erodes rocks that compose the geosphere.
The atmosphere is the gaseous component above the surface of the Earth. It includes a mixture of gases with the majority being Nitrogen and Oxygen.
Some ways in which the this system interacts with the other systems:
1) The atmosphere releases water droplets back into the hydrosphere.
2) The atmosphere provides the heat and energy needed for rock break-down and erosion in the geosphere.
