It was a cold  wet windy day in 1991 Michigan. A buckskin mare was having her baby! The foal was a Thanksgiving miracle because it almost did not make it out alive in the cold wet winter year.

Because of her and her Thanksgiving miracle the family named her Pumpkin Spice. The family who took great care of Pumpkin Spice loved her so much, especially the two boys Jake and Leo.

One day the family had to get rid of Pumpkin Spice because they had to get rid of their farm. They just did not have the money to pay the bills for the law. The poor family was so sad that they lost everything!

Jake thought it was unfair that they could not  keep Pumpkin Spice. Jake and Leo tried to think of a plan to get their parents Mrs. Butch and Mr. Butch to keep her just her.

But there was only one problem if they kept her they had to keep the mom Pumpkin to.  So they had to get rid of her.
